Sarah Palin is a beautiful bible believing Christian

The political career of Sarah Palin started early on in Wasilla, her home town in Alaska. She was appointed mayor in 1996 and immediately rocked the small and steady boat that was the city officials. This willingness to step on toes and make enemies were necessary is a trait that has followed Sarah Palin throughout her career.

One of the first of Sarah Palin’s victims was Police Chief Iri Stambaugh. Stambaugh did not, Palin felt, fully support her efforts to govern. Stambaugh took exception to this and filed for unfair dismissal. The court threw out the case and ordered Stambaugh to pay Palin’s costs. Yet another victory for the enigmatic Republican bombshell.

When not reorganizing the town’s officialdom Sarah Palin increased the town’s infrastructure, eliminated personal property taxes and cut property taxes by 75%. How to win voters and influence people… lesson number one: cut taxes!

Palin’s second term in office as mayor saw her help build a municipal sports center. Term limits rather than any discontent from the voters meant that she could not hold office for a third term, though one suspects the hockey mom could have and would have continued to build up Wasilla and its reputation.
